Om Jai Lakshmi Mata, Maiya Jai Lakshmi Mata,

Tumko nishidin sevat, Hari Vishnu vidhata.

Victory to you, Mother Lakshmi; Lord Vishnu, the ordainer of the universe, serves you day and night.

Verse 1

Uma Rama Brahmani, tum hi jag mata,

Surya Chandrama dhyavat, Narad rishi gata.

As Uma, Rama, and Brahmani you are the mother of the world; the Sun and Moon meditate on you and the sage Narada sings your praise.

Verse 2

Durga roop Niranjani, sukh sampatti data,

Jo koi tumko dhyavat, riddhi-siddhi dhan pata.

As the stainless form of Durga you grant joy and prosperity; whoever meditates on you gains abundance, accomplishment, and wealth.

Verse 3

Tum patal nivasini, tum hi shubhdata,

Karma-prabhav-prakashini, bhavnidhi ki trata.

You dwell even in the netherworld and are the giver of all good; you reveal the power of action and rescue us from the ocean of existence.

Verse 4

Jis ghar mein tum rahatin, sab sadgun aata,

Sab sambhav ho jata, man nahin ghabrata.

In the home where you dwell, every virtue arrives; everything becomes possible and the mind is never troubled.

Verse 5

Tum bin yagya na hote, vastra na koi pata,

Khan-paan ka vaibhav, sab tumse aata.

Without you no sacrifice is performed and no one obtains clothing; the abundance of food and drink all comes from you.

Verse 6

Shubh-gun mandir sundar, kshirodadhi-jata,

Ratna chaturdash tum bin, koi nahin pata.

Beautiful temple of auspicious virtue, born of the ocean of milk; without you no one obtains the fourteen jewels.

Verse 7

Mahalakshmi ji ki aarti, jo koi jan gata,

Ur anand samata, paap utar jata.

Whoever sings this aarti to Mahalakshmi — bliss fills the heart and sins fall away.
