Jyothshi · Shani
Somebody has told you that Shani ki Sade Sati is running for your rashi. This page answers the three things that follow: whether it is running, which of its three parts you are in, and the date it turns. It asks for your chandra rashi (Moon sign) and nothing else — no birth time, no chart, no account.
Your chandra rashi is the sign the Moon occupied when you were born. It is not the Western “star sign” taken from your birth date — those are two different systems, and they usually disagree.
Saturn's sidereal position is computed under the Lahiri ayanamsa, which the page states on every answer. A panchang set to a different ayanamsa will place the same ingress a few days apart; that is a difference of convention, not of arithmetic, and it does not move which phase you are in.
The rules themselves — Saturn in the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon sign, and the 4th and 8th for the two dhaiya — are followed convention. They are near-universal in Indian practice and asserted in those words by no text this site cites, so the page labels them as convention rather than presenting them as scripture.
It attaches no remedy, sells no gemstone, offers no puja package and books no consultation. It makes no prediction about what will happen to you. A phase is a condition with dates, and that is what you get: the classical character of the part you are in, in one clause, and nothing dressed up as a forecast.
